Deirdre Shannon

Divinely carried, heaven’s lilting tune
Enchantment borne upon the crystal moon
In every human heart’s most secret place
Rebirth awaits the melody’s embrace
Devotion to a cause in boundless measure
Rejoice in every gift bestowing treasure
Each song to touch the mind and heart and soul is heaven sent

Silver lines each cloud of stormy grey
Hope is ne’er from music far away
An angel sings with clarity, with peace
None should hear but should their troubles cease
New days come, and with them all things wane
Only memories of heaven’s touch remain
Never, though, will we forget what Deirdre’s lifetime meant.
