Welcome to our new Guest Poetry section. We've decided to return Ropes' Corner to its roots. It was originally planned and launched as a poetry site, but has since wandered off in many different directions. Don't get us wrong; we will still be adding new photo pages, Flash pages, tributes, humor, and whatever else seems like a pleasant diversion. But we also want to get back to the basics a little, and publish some new poetry.

The boys and I will be creating some new works for our pages in the near future. In addition, we've recently discovered that we have a number of really talented friends. (Yes, folks - those of you who know us from the Celtic Woman and Anna Nalick message boards - we're talking about you!) So, if you'd like to be considered for publication on Ropes' Corner, please fill out and submit our handy form, below. If you're just browsing, select any of the navigation buttons on the left and enjoy the fine work our friends have allowed us to post.

Submit Your Poetry

the best works submitted will be published in our new Guest's Corner

Please read all rules carefully:
  • Submit only one poem at a time. If you wish to submit more than one, return to this page after your first submittal.
  • Ropes' Corner staff will be the sole judge, and will decide which works are suitable for our site.
  • We will publish no more than four (4) poems by a single author.
  • Each poem must have a title.
  • Poems must be no more than eighty (80) lines each.
  • Depending on volume, it may take as long as 10-14 days to post a new poem.
  • You will be notified by email only if your poem has been selected for publication.
  • Your submittal constitutes your agreement to grant the owner(s) of Ropes' Corner (ropescorner.com) a one-time right to publish the submitted work(s). Copyrights to the work(s) will be retained by you, the author.
  • Please capitalize the first letter on each line. Formatting may be lost in email transmission, making it impossible for us to find line breaks!
